Siess chatted with “Stew” about her rise in youth recreational play, to club, to college soccer as a SLU Billiken … now Soccer Mom of her own and coach to many. Listen in for stories of growing up as one of several soccer siblings … the dreaded “let’s go for a run” with Champs … making that PK in front of future husband and fellow SLU Soccer Billiken, Nick Bokern … parenting 5 active multi-sport kids … and running thecommunity-based club, Ajax, to train the “player” and the whole “person", nurturing a love for the game.

On this episode of Soccer Mom Sunday host Jennifer Siess from Mine To Define, along with JB Anderson from Soccer Dad Pod, was joined by Chad Otec, Lou Fusz Soccer GA head coach. From his own youth playing days, to college at Missouri Baptist University, Chad found himself called to coaching running soccer camps and youth training. Fast forward to the present as the Lou Fusz Soccer Club Girls Academy Manager and Coach, Chad finds himself anywhere from developing his players on the training pitch across multiple age groups, traveling for their high level competitive games, and in the office assisting them in the pressurized time vacuum of college recruitment and selection. Listen in for his thoughts and reflections on managing expectations and helping his players to participate in and take ownership of their own journeys.

Tim McEvoy has been playing, coaching, and giving back to the game of soccer for 60 years. A CBC grad, who was inducted into the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame in 2002, Tim continues to give back to the game as a coach, and as a professional rep for SELECT soccer company. His participation and support for the upcoming STL Champions League has been critical in getting year one (this fall) out of the gates!
