Another soccer LEGEND on Soccer Mom Sunday! Thanks to a Ruth Harker hookup, Jennifer Siess from Mine To Define chatted with Saskia Webber - former USWNT Goalkeeper, 1999 World Cup Soccer Champion, professional in the Japan Women's Football League and the WUSA, plus collegiate coach. Saskia started her National Team career at age 17 with the U-20 team. Her Senior Team debut was in 1992 where she would become a mainstay with the U.S. Team for the next 8 years. This first-time female Hall of Famer at Rutgers University earned titles such as All American, Missouri Athletic Club Goalkeeper of the Year, Soccer America Goalkeeper of the Decade, and more! A badass in business along with on the pitch, Saskia is an owner of Angel City FC, NWSL Analyst/Broadcaster, and host of the “Inside the 18” podcast for goalkeepers. Listen in for her soccer origin story, the impact of the 99-ers, her recognition of disparity and continued advocacy, and what’s next for the women’s side of The Beautiful Game.

Soccer Mom Sunday goes halfway around the world to Australia! Host Jennifer Siess from Mine to Define sat down with fellow Eureka High School Wildcat, Sidney Allen, to get the story on how this St. Louis player went “down under” to play The Beautiful Game. Sidney found success with JB Marine soccer club, moving on to play for the University of Missouri - St. Louis where she was named to its 2010-19 All-Decade Team. Sidney was able to continue with the game playing for the Women's Premier Soccer League team, Fire & Ice Soccer Club, winning the championship in 2017. With mentors in the game encouraging her to continue, Sidney signed a contract in Australia and has been playing pro there ever since. Listen in for stories of her journey from youth to pro, making a life for herself in another country, and the continued support from her family along the way.
