Episode 76: Carl Rose - A Steamer Legend

Carl Rose is simply an amazing human. Born in England, moved to Canada, and finally landed in St. Louis, he is a true legend in the #STLSoccer landscape. An anchor of our beloved St. Louis Steamers in the late 70's and 80's, Carl was part of one of the most special teams and timeframes in St. Louis Soccer. 
We had an incredible conversation, had fun reminiscing, and talked some serious trash... just because. Special thanks to Pech for hosting us at SLSG! The MODELO'S were ice cold and tasty!

Episode 75: Damon Rensing - SLUH to MSU

The Rensing name is simply synonymous with St. Louis Soccer. Damon grew up with a dad who graced the field in the NASL with all time legends, and followed in his footsteps establishing a life in and with the beautiful game. Starting his 15th season with the Michigan State Spartans Division 1 soccer program, he chats with us about the upcoming Big 10 battles, about his recruiting process, the current state of youth development between academy's and high schools and more.
As a Jr. Bill he is truly a man for others... even though we paid the tab! HA!!!

Episode 74: Caden Glover - Steamers to SLSG to STL CitySC

Caden Glover will go down in STL Soccer history as the 1st Homegrown Player ever signed by our first MLS franchise: St. Louis City SC.
But... his path is really the story! From his youth days at the Steamers Soccer Club, and some incredible training stories involving hockey sticks, lawn mowers, and American bulldogs, we covered it all. For kids wondering what it takes, or at least what the work load, diet, and rest looks like, this is an incredible conversation to check out!
In addition, friends of the show Steve Pecher (SLSG President) & Jason Glover (Caden's dad & director of the Steamers Soccer Club) talk about their new affiliation and the benefits being provided to even more kids that want to play the game!

Tom Strunk is a true advocate of the game, of our town (St. Louis), and for so many others that deserve a chance and respect. His passion and dedication to the game can be seen at the club level, in the past with STLFC, and currently with STL City SC! His dedication to family is even more impressive. With an incredibly successful career at WWT, coupled with his soccer successes on and off the field, and the character he lays out in his everyday life, this is a must listen.

Episode 72: High School vs. Academy & Beyond!!!

These three coaches have over 27 State Titles, over 2500 combined victories, and an untold amount of loyal alum that is immeasurable. In a constantly growing, evolving, and shifting world of soccer here in America, Terry Michler from CBC, Greg Koeller of St. Dominic, and Mike Gauvain "Vader" from Chaminade talk about their paths, some of their secrets, as well as their opinions on the shifting Club/Academy world. With changes coming down the pipe on the High School side, these programs and others look to regain some momentum that has been challenged by the growth of the Academy system nationally, and in our back yard as well!
